By accessing or using ClipThat, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be located in the United States

2. Description of Service

ClipThat allows users to:

  • Submit article links
  • Save articles to their account
  • Receive transactional confirmations via SMS or WhatsApp
  • Mark saved articles as read

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

ClipThat is an experimental tool and may change, be modified, or discontinued at any time.

3. Accounts & Authentication

ClipThat uses third-party authentication providers (such as Replit Auth). We do not store passwords.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your authentication credentials with your identity provider and for activity conducted under your account.

4. User Content

You are responsible for any content you submit, including:

  • Article URLs
  • Profile photos

You represent that:

  • You have the right to submit such content
  • Your submissions do not violate applicable law

We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.

5. SMS Terms

If you link your phone number:

  • You consent to receive transactional SMS messages.
  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out.
  • Reply HELP for assistance.

We do not send marketing SMS messages.

Opting out disables SMS functionality but does not delete your account.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or exploit the system
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Availability
  • Reliability
  • Accuracy
  • Fitness for a particular purpose

Use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • ClipThat shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
  • Total liability for any claims shall not exceed $100 USD.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClipThat from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your submitted content
  • Your violation of these Terms

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted at:

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
